Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how PayFi, operated by Shovtek, handles information when operators use PayFi workspaces and when people use Wi-Fi, account or payment portals provided through PayFi.

A Wi-Fi operator may separately decide how it collects and uses information about its customers. If you use an operator's network, contact that operator about its own privacy practices.

1. Who is responsible

Shovtek operates PayFi and is responsible for information it uses to run PayFi accounts and the platform. For information an operator chooses to collect from its staff or Wi-Fi customers, the operator may decide the purpose and means of processing and may be responsible for its own privacy notices and legal obligations.

PayFi may process information for an operator to provide the features that operator configures. In those cases, the operator's instructions and privacy terms may also apply. This Policy does not replace an operator's own privacy notice.

2. Information we handle

Depending on how you use PayFi and what an operator enables, we may handle:

We receive information directly from you, from the operator whose workspace or network you use, and from integrations you or that operator connect, such as payment, messaging and network equipment providers.

3. How information is used

We use information as needed to:

4. When information is shared

We share information only as needed to provide the service or as otherwise permitted or required by law:

We do not publish account passwords or verification codes. We do not sell personal information.

5. Storage and retention

Information is stored on PayFi systems and, where needed to provide a feature, with the relevant service provider. We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to keep required business and security records, and to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

A workspace closure request must be reviewed by PayFi support and does not automatically delete the workspace or its data. Contact us to ask about a specific record or deletion request. Some records may need to be retained or handled by the workspace operator under applicable law.

6. Your choices and requests

You can review or update some account details in PayFi settings. You can also contact us to ask about personal information associated with your PayFi account or to submit a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity and, where an operator controls the relevant information, direct you to that operator.

We handle requests in accordance with applicable law. Some information may be retained when required for security, legal, billing or dispute-resolution purposes.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including account authentication and access controls. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your password and verification codes, and contact us promptly if you believe an account or credential has been compromised.

8. Cookies and local storage

PayFi uses browser storage and session technologies needed to keep you signed in, remember settings and operate the service. Blocking these technologies may prevent parts of PayFi from working. Your browser provides controls to clear stored site data and manage cookies.

9. Children

PayFi workspace accounts are intended for people authorized to administer or use a business workspace. Operators are responsible for providing appropriate notices and obtaining any permissions required when their Wi-Fi service is used by children or other users who need additional protection.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy as the service or applicable requirements change. We will update the effective date on this page and provide notice through PayFi or another reasonable channel when a change materially affects how information is handled.
